From 1968 to 1972, Sossio pursued his artistic studies at the Liceo Artistico di Napoli in S. Maria in Costantinopoli, during a period marked by significant cultural and artistic transformation within the emerging Neapolitan School. Under the mentorship of distinguished painters such as Domenico Spinosa, Armando De Stefano, and Gianni Pisani, Sossio received his foundational artistic education, enriched by their profound cultural influence.
In 1972, Sossio held his first solo exhibition at the l'Incontro Galley in Naples. Concurrently, he enrolled in the Painting Course at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Napoli, under the tutelage of Maestro Domenico Spinosa. Between 1976 and 1978, he actively participated in numerous solo exhibitions within the Neapolitan gallery circuit, aligning himself with the city's vibrant cultural and artistic renewal. In 1978, Sossio was appointed to the chair of drawing and figure at the Liceo Artistico di Napoli. The 1980s saw his relocation to Tuscany, where he embarked on a profound inner artistic exploration. His canvases from this period are characterized by their focus on color and the absence of figurative forms, a stylistic evolution significantly influenced by his encounter with Elio D'Anna and the subsequent adoption of the Creative Universe's interpretative frameworks.
In 1998, Sossio's work was showcased in a solo exhibition in London, curated by the Italian Academy of Arts, with subsequent exhibitions held in 2001 and 2006. Since 2007, he has been represented by Aria Art Gallery, with four solo exhibitions and numerous group exhibitions in Florence, Istanbul, and London. Additionally, he has participated in various contemporary art fairs and institutional projects, securing his position within both Italian and international art circles.
