Sibel Niksarlı - Those were the days - before Steve Jobs and Apple, the world ́s favourite brand. A few selected people were trained by Apple before its launch in Turkey. Sibel was one of those 11 people.
A future with the world ́s favourite brand beckoned and Apple became a major part of Sibel ́s life. But it wasn ́t enough. Nature caught her imagination. The virtual grass on the Apple screen was green but it didn ́t smell.
She chose the reality and moved to the countryside. She observed the nature in all its glory. The flowers, the birds and the animals all touched her soul.
She experimented how the earth tranforms into mud and mud into the life. Discovered a hidden talent to sculpt from clay. Since then Sibel is shaping the clay.
Sibel has been living in the city for some time now. After completing her degree on Sculpture in association with Prof. Meriç Hızal at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Işık University, she carries on realizing her work at her atelier in Istanbul.
