I create compositions about the degeneration of man, and I am currently exploring themes such as urbanization and brutality. I try to convey my message in an intimidating yet humorous way in my work.
The untitled artwork is a product of these themes that are being explored. In order to balance the gritty visuals of my urban compositions, I include tree and shrub-like flora. I believe this addition brings positivity and color, brightening up the seriousness of the underlying message, and making it easier for the viewer to receive. Over time, I have found myself exploring flora and continue to do so as a parallel study to my ongoing artistic practice. The “Tree” series is a result of this exploration.
