Beatrice Gallori was born in Montevarchi in 1978. After moving to Prato, she obtained her Classical High School Diploma from Liceo Classico Cicognini in 1996. Following her studies, she discovered her passion for fashion and design, leading her to attend Polimoda in Florence, where she specialized in Fashion Design and Knitting in 2001. Her artistic journey began as a self-taught artist and, in 2007, she started collaborating with galleries. Her early works were monochromatic and volumetric, focusing on studying and recreating movement on canvas through time-lapse techniques.
Gallori's artistic exploration extends to other mediums, including sculpture (ceramic and polymer) and video. Her works have been featured in various exhibition projects, major Italian, and international contemporary art fairs, and both group and solo exhibitions in public and institutional spaces. Currently, her research centers on studying cellular movement, which she observes and regenerates in her works, providing deeper insights into life and society. Her pieces are part of numerous Italian and international public and private collections, and she continues to collaborate with various galleries.
Gallori’s work is characterized by its monochromatic and volumetric nature, with a focus on movement, which she recreates in both canvas and sculpture. Her primary research delves into the cellular world, experimenting with different materials and pigmentations. Her art features multiple overlapping layers that reveal a timeless quality, intersecting past and present. She explores matter deeply and rigorously, creating an abstract universe of elementary shapes and colors, such as gaseous blobs, bubbles, nuclei, and sections embedded in the two-dimensional surface of her paintings. Her work attempts to translate the genetic DNA of the world into nuclear units.
Gallori often expresses herself through three-dimensional volumes, utilizing voids as integral parts of her work. She has developed a personal technique that weaves a web of relationships between matter and human beings, extending from the smallest details to the largest connections.
