Patrick Boussignac was born in France in 1956. At the age of 8, he painted his first picture and knew that he would become an artist. Studied at the Ecole Des Arts Appliqués in Paris. His favourite themes immerse us in humanity's cultural heritage, abolishing geographic boundaries and rejecting worldly determinism. In tribute to the metaphysics of collage-art, a sort of flowing movement is born between the real and the unreal and it becomes difficult to grasp where the one starts and the other ends. The way of challenging reality is an answer to issues which preoccupy Boussignac today: An interrogation into presuppositions and the overthrow of the stereotypical cognition. Through his work, Boussignac has developed his own poetic language, evocative and mysterious. And it is up tous as spectator, to identify the truespirit that lies therein. The artist defines his own style as alterrealism or magic realism.
