Fevzi Karakoç

Fevzi Karakoç was born in 1947 in Çankırı, Turkey. He studied at the Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts between 1968 and 1972. Karakoç, who became an assistant at the same institution in 1974, received the Salzburg City Award for his lithographs created during his time at the Salzburg Summer Academy in 1979.

In 1983, Karakoç obtained his Proficiency in the Original Printmaking field, and in 1986, he became an Associate Professor. He served at the Marmara University Institute of Fine Arts until January 2002. From February 2002 onwards, he has been a faculty member at Yeditepe University Faculty of Fine Arts.
