Asaf Erdemli

"The Remaining"

As an artist who continues my work in the disciplines of sculpture and design, I incorporate the concept of being scrap alongside scrap materials into my contemporary art productions. Fundamentally, I am curious about the lived experiences of materials and the stories beneath the surface. While creating my artworks, I delve deeply into the concept of being scrap, which includes recycling, and use scrap materials as a means to explore and convey questions about emotions, living beings, humanity, justice, and feelings.

In addition to his exploration of discarded materials, Erdemli aims to promote encounters with recycled art pieces and design products to raise awareness and foster a conscious perspective on urban identity and sustainability. As an artist, he organizes exhibitions featuring art created from recycled materials in various cities, striving to provide opportunities for people to encounter these works.
